What we do...
Forty years ago, in a modest University of Oregon-area house-turned-office, Direction Service was founded with a desire and a dream: To provide a place where people with disabilities and special needs would be treated with respect, dignity, and compassionate care, regardless of situation.

Today, Direction Service continues that legacy of service as a multi-program family support nonprofit located in Springfield, Oregon. Serving all of Lane County, we are now an independent, private, nonprofit organization funded through public and private donations, as well as local and federal support.

Day of Giving promo poster rev 2.0 flat web.jpg
Mark your calendars! The 2017 Direction Service Day of Giving is Thursday, June 29. This event is an opportunity for us to connect by phone with Direction Service supporters to share what we've been up to, talk about upcoming events, and ask for continuing support in the form of a one-time gift or monthly pledge.

This year's Day of Giving fundraising goal is $5,000, and YOU have the power to help us get there!

It'll take a full team effort to have a successful day! If you'd like to volunteer or are interested in sponsoring this year's Day of Giving, please contact Ben Ordonez, Direction Service Development Officer, at bordonez@directionservice.org or 541-686-5060.

A Message from Aimee
It’s April already, and 2017 is in full swing. It’s been an exciting year, and there’s much, much more in store. So far, we’ve had a new hire, a retirement, participated in some wonderful community outreach events, launched a new website, and are preparing to debut a new Family Advisory Board (details coming soon!).

We have our Direction Service Day of Giving coming up on June 29, 2017. We’ll be spending an evening with the Eugene Ems in August. We’re also getting ready to unveil the details on our 2017 gala event.

All the while, our staff and Board of Directors continue to work hard to carry out our mission: Helping people with disabilities and special needs live full and healthy lives!

Stay tuned for more exciting developments, and thank you for your continuing support!
