What we do...
Forty years ago, in a modest University of Oregon-area house-turned-office, Direction Service was founded with a desire and a dream: To provide a place where people with disabilities and special needs would be treated with respect, dignity, and compassionate care, regardless of situation.

Today, Direction Service continues that legacy of service as a multi-program family support nonprofit located in Springfield, Oregon. Serving all of Lane County, we are now an independent, private, nonprofit organization funded through public and private donations, as well as local and federal support.

A Message from Aimee
2016 was a year of transition, growth, opportunity, and success for Direction Service. The past 12 months have seen us move from the Dunn School, our home of 17 years, to a newer, more modern office space that is more accessible to families on Gateway Loop.

We have also hired several new staff specialists that have greatly increased our capacity to serve children and families throughout Lane County. We’ve even had a night out at the ballpark to share the work we do with our guests, clients, and thousands of Eugene Ems fans at PK Park.

We're excited about the opportunities 2017 will bring, and look forward to another successful year of serving Lane County children and families!

After nearly 17 years at our Dunn School, the Direction Service administrative offices have moved to 1144 Gateway Loop. Our new office will allow us to better meet the needs of our clients, as well as grow our capacity to serve children and families throughout Lane County.
